Five Finger Death Punch Sunrise Concert reviews
Awesome show, not so awesome fans!
I got tickets for this show for my birthday. Mayer Hawthorne and the Country, the opener, was REALLY good. Janelle ROCKED, like seriously, with her amazing energy. Five Finger Death Punch came out and was really good too. The general admission section was surrounded by swooning, screaming teenagers who were being disrespectful. I had an issue with his fans. Everyone having a good time but being respectful of their neighbors. Once Five Finger Death Punch got started, we were surrounded by good music fans for the first part of the show. I felt kind of bad for Mayer and Janelle, since they did amazing jobs. I know that Five Finger Death Punch's fans aren't his fault, but I would probably get seats if I were to go again. There were a lot of people lacking musical appreciation. She would sing for 15 minutes straight and did covers of Charlie Chaplin's Smile and the Jackson 5's I Want You Back. I would have had a lot better time without them there. I had no idea those kind of people were in the audience until that moment. I guess I am too far removed from teenagerdom (I'm 25) to have realized that Five Finger Death Punch was a teen heartthrob. Her energy was AMAZING! He was really really good too, but there were a lot of people lacking musical appreciation. It felt like, to me, that Janelle owned the night, but then I hated Five Finger Death Punch's fans so much that I couldn't be impartial. Anyway, I love Five Finger Death Punch and I have enjoyed quite a lot of Janelle's music. They did an awesome cover of Hall and Oates You Make My Dreams Come True. But for the first 2 sets, most of the people just stood there, maybe tapping their feet.
